The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler, School of Community Health and Health Professions, invites applications and nominations for candidates for chairs of the following new departments:
- Healthcare Policy, Economics, and Health Management;
- Epidemiology and Biostatistics; and
- Health Promotion and Community Health
Successful candidates will be expected to be able to qualify for the rank of professor or associate professor, be committed to education (curriculum development and teaching excellence) and mentorship, and have a demonstrated record of scholarship through publication and externally funded research and project initiatives. In addition, 1-3 years or experience in management and administration in an academic or equivalent setting is preferred. Candidates must hold a MD, PhD, DrPH or equivalent degree in a public health or related discipline. A competitive package will be offered to the chosen candidates.
