Congratulations to HELI 2015 Alumna Dr. Alyn Turner!
Alyn Turner, PhD, is the newly appointed Director of Quantitative Research at Research for Action (RFA), a Philadelphia-based, nonprofit education research organization.
Dr. Turner shared about her new position:
My role will be to oversee the design and implementation of quantitative research studies in pre-k, K-12, and postsecondary educational settings. I will lead a team of 8-10 researchers that work toward Research for Action’s mission of using research to improve educational opportunities for underserved students. In addition, I will lead several large-scale complex research studies, for example serving as Principal Investigator on a five-year Education and Innovation Research grant awarded to the Children’s Literacy Initiative to develop and evaluate a comprehensive preschool curriculum and professional development program for pre-K teachers.
Dr. Turner was previously a Health Disparities Research Scholar at UW-Madison. Congratulations and best wishes, Alyn!!
