The University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHealth) School of Public Health at Brownsville is seeking three faculty members (assistant professor level) for tenure-track, 12-month appointments.

These recruitments provide an opportunity to join a remarkable faculty and the intellectual space to develop new ideas and directions.  We serve the Rio Grande Valley of Texas by addressing health disparities found in Hispanic populations.  Our researchers lead unique community-based, translational research programs. 

Successful candidates are expected to contribute to the school’s teaching, research and service mission.  We encourage applications from the diverse areas of public and population health and medicine. Successful candidates will have a doctoral degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, translational science, behavioral science, health promotion, or related areas.  We seek individuals with strong scholarly credentials including research publications and a record of external research funding from federal sources. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
