Congratulations to HELI 2018 Alumna Dr. Cher Dallal on her promotion with tenure!
Cher Dallal, MPH, PhD, was promoted to Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Maryland School of Public Health effective August 23, 2019.
Moving forward, her research program will continue to focus on the biobehavioral mechanisms of breast cancer racial disparities with an emphasis on evaluating obesity, physical activity and metabolomic profiles among breast cancer survivors.
Dr. Dallal shared, “Many thanks to my mentoring committee – Joanne Dorgan, Stephen Thomas, James Hagberg – for their support and guidance since joining the faculty at the University of Maryland. I’m also grateful for the support from HELI and the University of Maryland Center for Health Equity. Participating in HELI provided an invaluable opportunity for professional development and helped me significantly as I prepared my tenure dossier.”
