Congratulations to HELI 2015 Alumna Dr. Kristine Molina!
Kristine Molina, PhD, joined the faculty in the Department of Psychological Science in the School of Social Ecology at the University of California, Irvine as an Associate Professor on July 1st, 2019. As Director of the Research on Equity and Advancement of Latinxs (REAL) Lab, she looks forward to continuing her research on discrimination and social inequality and their effects on the health of the Latinx population while at the same time mentoring students from historically underrepresented backgrounds interested in health disparities/equity research.
Prior to her new appointment, she received tenure (May 2019) at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she was an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department.
Dr. Molina shared, “I’m extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in HELI, where I benefited from professional development sessions focused on culturally-responsive mentoring and leadership, professional branding, and developing tenure documents (e.g., teaching and research statements)—all of which came in handy when putting together my tenure materials.”
