The Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a thoughtful, innovative, mission-driven leader to serve as the founding director for its program in Health Equity. Eligible candidates must have an MD or a PhD in a health-related field. The ideal candidate will have experience with community engagement and a track record of successful independently funded research related to Health Equity. We seek a team leader with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, mentoring and growing junior faculty researchers in the program.
The Director of Health Equity will be expected to develop a vibrant, interdisciplinary program that leverages existing campus resources in clinical care, education, health services and public health research to improve the well-being of vulnerable and underserved populations in Colorado through research, implementation and community engagement.
This recruitment comes with a competitive start-up package that will include salary commensurate with experience, start-up funds, and departmental program support. Appropriate candidates may be eligible for an endowed chair.
