Congratulations to HELI 2018 Alumna Dr. Susan Flowers Benton!
Susan Flowers Benton, PhD, will be joining the faculty in the Department of Rehabilitation and Disability Studies in the College of Nursing and Allied Health at Southern University and A&M College as a tenure-track Assistant Professor starting July 1st!
Before she and her family move back home to Baton Rouge, LA, Dr. Flowers Benton will conclude her post-doctoral fellowship with the Primary Care Research Program in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health in the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.
Additional excellent news! Dr. Flowers Benton was also recently awarded an R03 from the National Institute on Aging (NIA) for her project, ‘Building Relationships between Researchers and the Community to Increase African American Participation in Alzheimer’s Disease Research.’
