This video charts Dr. Grant’s journey of overcoming challenges and reaching the point where he is now working as a public health researcher to improve health outcomes in his home community of Browning, Montana. Dr. Grant is an Assistant Research Professor in the Center for American Indian and Rural Health Equity (CAIRHE) at Montana State University. We Are Healers is a 501c3 non-profit initiative featuring stories of American Indian health professionals. They inspire American Indian youth to see themselves as future healers through the stories of American Indian role-models. We Are Healers was started by Erik Brodt, MD, and his team while he served as the founding Director of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health Native American Center for Health Professions (NACHP).
