We are thrilled to congratulate HELI 2016 alum Dr. Alvin Thomas on his upcoming move to Wisconsin!
Alvin Thomas, PhD, will join the Faculty in the School of Human Ecology at University of Wisconsin-Madison in Fall 2019 as a tenure-track Assistant Professor with a primary appointment in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies. Dr. Thomas’ research interest areas include risk & protective factors for African American youth, paternal parenting, and father involvement in children’s therapy.
Prior to his appointment at UW-Madison, Dr. Thomas will wrap up his roles at Palo Alto University where he is Co-Director of the Center for Excellence in Diversity and Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology.
