The Department of Geography at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2019. The Department is looking for exceptional individuals with particular emphasis in the area of urban inequality and health disparities. They are particularly interested in researchers using innovative theory and quantitative methods that account for social and spatial context. Applicants with perspectives from public health, demography, sociology, or other related fields in addition to geography are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must have completed all requirements for a PhD in geography, sociology, epidemiology or related field (or equivalent) except the dissertation at the time of application. A PhD is required by time of appointment.
