Dr. Kajua Lor Honored as 2018 Professional of the Year!

Congratulations to HELI 2016 Alumna Kajua B. Lor, PharmD, BCACP!

Dr. Lor was recognized as the 2018 Professional of the Year by the Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce during their 2018 Annual Business Awards Banquet on October 12, 2018!

The Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce (HWCC) is a statewide Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) providing economic development assistance in providing access to capital through business loan products, business development consultation services, and networking opportunities. HWCC has lent over $1.5 million in loan funds and leveraged over $9.3 million in private funds to diverse minority-owned businesses throughout Wisconsin.

HWCC’s Annual Business Awards Banquet celebrates the successes of Hmong and Southeast Asian (SE Asian) businesses throughout the state. The theme of the 2018 event was ‘Elevating Our Legacy’ and featured individuals and businesses who are raising the bar. The Professional of the Year is an award recognizing a professional who has achieved significant milestones in their professional career, elevating the community with their accomplishments.

Dr. Lor is Chair and Associate Professor in the Clinical Sciences Department at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. Learn more about her recent work and research interests.
