We’re happy to share a new article by HELI 2015 alum Anuli Njoku, DrPH, MPH, and 2016 alum Fathima Wakeel, PhD, MPH.

Dr. Njoku is an Assistant Professor of Public Health at Ferris State University. Dr. Njoku’s academic and research training have focused primarily on community-based health promotion and disease prevention efforts at the local, regional and international levels.
Dr. Wakeel is an Assistant Professor of Public Health at Ferris State University, as well. Dr. Wakeel has had twelve years of academic and research training in public health, and her research interests lie primarily in racial/ethnic and socioeconomic disparities in maternal and child health and women’s mental health.
