We are happy to congratulate HELI 2016 alum Charles Rogers, PhD, MPH, MS, CHES, on his transition to a new role at the University of Utah School of Medicine!
Starting June 2018, Dr. Rogers will be a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Family & Preventive Medicine in the Division of Public Health at Utah.
Dr. Rogers will depart the University of Minnesota Medical School’s Department of Family Medicine and Community Health where he held roles as a NCI-funded Post-doctoral Associate, a Pathways to Research Program Faculty Facilitator, Masonic Cancer Center Member, and an Assistant Professor since 2013.
Dr. Rogers stated, “I have truly enjoyed my tenure at the University of Minnesota and am thankful for the opportunity to learn from a great team. Despite multiple Research I University offers, I am confident of the decision I made and ecstatic to start a new phase of my career. I look forward to bringing the research, writing, mentoring, and leadership skills necessary to make a positive contribution to the University of Utah and assist with eliminating health inequities in Utah and beyond.”
Congratulations and best of luck in your new role, Charles!
