The University of North Carolina seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate for a study provider communication about HPV vaccine concerns. Our research group works in the Health Cognition and Behavior Lab, led by Dr. Noel Brewer. Our structured and successful approach to postdoctoral training is a good fit for quantitatively-oriented researchers who are bright, productive, and fun to work with.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing survey findings for publication in leading academic journals (at least 3 first author papers per year) in collaboration with our team.
- Leading planned formative research and intervention development activities; assisting with survey development; creating training protocols and assisting with data collection.
- Developing new ideas and incorporating them into planned or new research; assisting with grant writing; handling administrative tasks, potentially including managing IRB applications.
- Presenting research at national conferences and meetings; attending research seminars; mentoring graduate students and staff as needed.
Educational Requirements:
PhD in Public Health, Psychology, or related behavioral science field.
Qualifications and Experience
Must have training in quantitative statistical methods.
Experience in HPV vaccination is helpful but not required.
