CCHE would like to share a recently published article by HELI 2015 alum Devon Payne-Sturges, DrPH, MPH! Dr. Payne-Sturges is Assistant Professor, Applied Environmental Health (MIAEH) at the University of Maryland School of Public Health with a joint appointment in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
Dr. Payne-Sturges’ article, “A Systematic Review of Community Engagement in the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Extramural Research Solicitations: Implications for Research Funders” is the first systematic review of community engagement in extramural requests for applications (RFAs) issued by the EPA’s National Center for Environmental Research and was undertaken to identify ways to make EPA-funded research more relevant to communities.
The research is highlighted in a feature by Dr. Payne-Sturges’ home MIAEH department, here.
A PDF of the article is available, here.
Congratulations, Devon! Thank you for sharing your good work with us!
