The Center would like to alert you to some opportunities on the horizon at the University of Virginia (UVA) ~
The University of Virginia (UVA) is investing significantly in the growth of its Cancer Control and Population Health Research program. Strategic investments to grow the UVA clinical enterprise, along with leadership and resources provided by the NCI-Designated Cancer Center in partnership with multiple programs across the Health Sciences (and beyond), are collaborating to attract and support at least five additional academic population health scientists.
The Brooke Group is partnering with UVA to recruit nationally recognized academic physician, translational, and/or basic scientists with established, relevant, funded research agendas who can present credentials sufficient for appointment to Associate or Full Professor with/in tenure track. These scientists will join already established and productive teams leading the accomplishment of a vision – through research and service – for serving a multi-state, 5.7 million, rural, underserved patient population with health disparities related to patient access, tobacco use, obesity, and greater than average cancer incidence/morbidity in numerous disease areas.
In our efforts to identify exceptional candidates, we are sharing the information about this opportunity as broadly as possible with grant funded professionals in the field. Therefore, we want to make sure you are aware of the search and have opportunity to see the detailed position profile(s) scheduled for distribution at the end of September/early October.
In the very near future we will complete the position(s) profile with pertinent information about the positions, the Cancer Control & Population Health Research Program, the UVA Cancer Center, the UVA School of Medicine, the UVA Health System, UVA Physicians, the University of Virginia, and the community of Charlottesville.
Thanks to Dr. Alex Adams for sharing this via The Brooke Group. Stay tuned!
