NIMHD Pathway to Independence Award K99/R00 Funding Announcement

The Center would like to alert you to a recent RFA from the NIMHD. Thank you to Dr. Earlise Ward for sharing this with us!

 

The NIMHD Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00) is a Career Transition Award/Research Transition Award.

The purpose of the K99/R00 program is to increase and maintain a strong cohort of new and talented, NIH-supported, independent investigators conducting minority health and health disparities research. This program is designed to facilitate a timely transition of outstanding postdoctoral researchers from mentored, postdoctoral research positions to independent, tenure-track or equivalent faculty positions, and to provide independent NIH research support during the transition that will help these individuals launch competitive, independent research careers.

The deadline is June 23, 2015 by 5:00pm local time.

 

Award info:

-NIMHD intends to commit $500,000 in Fiscal Year 2016 to fund 5 awards

-Total project period may not exceed 5 years
